In this context, as the main force of China's environmental protection industry - small and medium-sized environmental protection enterprises are facing financing difficulties, "barbarians" cross-border, low-cost competition, tax support and other difficulties. In order to gain a better foothold in the market, most enterprises choose the "new three-board" channel for listing in order to expand financing, bringing brand and market double points.

Ma Hui, Secretary-General of the Environmental Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, said that listed financing is an important way for enterprises to develop and grow because of its large-scale projects, large capital demand, long operating cycle and low profitability.

In order to solve the pain point of the development of small and medium-sized environmental protection enterprises, the state is also constantly exerting its efforts in policy. In 2017, a number of industrial plans on energy conservation and environmental protection have been issued. On February 8, the SFC announced that it would take various measures to actively support energy-saving and environmental protection enterprises that meet the national industrial policies and conditions for listing, and to raise development funds through the capital market.

Good policies continue to tilt, the environmental protection industry has developed rapidly in some areas of segmentation, development space is larger, the strength of the new environmental protection board is becoming stronger and stronger, the team is becoming larger and larger.

In the first half of this year, a total of 79 environmental protection companies landed on the new three boards, according to the China ecological capital network. There are 10 or more environmental companies listed every month, slightly declining in March and April, but relatively stable in May and June, the number of basic monthly flat.

According to the statistics of Point Green Net, 16 environmental protection companies were listed in January, focusing on Beijing and the Yangtze River Delta geographically. In February, three new environmental protection enterprises listed 15, involving a total assets of 1 billion 43 million yuan. Among them, the listed enterprises in February involved in the business of water treatment and sludge disposal, clean energy and environmental greening and other areas of new hazardous waste treatment, environmental monitoring and so on.

In March, 12 new environmental protection enterprises were listed, most of which were water treatment enterprises. The most striking one was the Shanghai environment with a total assets of about 12 billion yuan. In April and May, the number of listed companies declined, and the assets of each company were small, involving less than 2 billion of total assets.

In June, the new three boards showed a strong momentum, a slump in the middle, and a rebound at the end. According to the statistics of Green Point. com, 10 environmental protection enterprises landed on the new third board from the beginning of June to the 9th, and then landed on the 3rd board only in the last two or three days of June, totaling 13 enterprises, involving more than 3.8 billion yuan in total assets.

From the main business point of view, energy-based environmental protection enterprises slightly ahead in June, a few months before the change to water treatment enterprises mainly. Moreover, there are four energy enterprises involved in photovoltaic, energy saving, waste heat utilization and so on, and only two enterprises mainly engaged in sewage treatment business, namely, Xiaoqing Environmental Protection and Kaiying Technology.

Half of the year 2017 has passed, and in the second half of the year, China Environmental Protection Online believes that the momentum of the new third board of environmental protection will remain hot. According to media reports, in early July, many enterprises have announced that they will be listed, Fujian Xinlong Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Huannuo Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Jiaxing Yilian Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. and other enterprises recently formally submitted applications.

Nowadays, more and more environmental protection enterprises choose the new third board market. The number of new third board environmental protection enterprises has increased significantly year by year. From the end of 2012, only three listed companies accounted for 1.50% of the total number of listings, to the end of 2016, 339 listed companies accounted for 3.34% of the total number of listings.
